Church/Youth Group Event
When we started The Runaway Project the vision was just for it to be in schools, but we quickly realized that it needed to be in youth groups as well! As people who were raised in church, we know what it’s like for people to think we have it all together because we got saved at a young age. We know what it’s like for people to think you are right with God as you’re living your double life. We know what it’s like to need a wake up call. And we would love to be able to do that for your kids in your youth groups!
Since we can obviously talk about our faith in this setting, we will! This can involve many things including the following:
- Speaking/Preaching
- Heartfelt stories mixed with humor
- Spoken Word
- Leading Worship
- Games
- Dramas
Anything that we do with the kids always has audience participation and is always a great time!
Church Topics:
- Living a double life
- How large God’s love is
- Identity In Christ
- Relationships
- Living in a world of non christians
-Making Disciples
-Being apart of the furious few
School Assembly
Although we are a faith based project, we guarantee that we will not speak or bring up anything about Christianity or religion.
An assembly with The Runaway Project looks like:
-Audience participation with the students.
-A speaker speaking on the topic of your choosing.
-A band playing a few songs.
-Since we will not be speaking on anything that involves our faith during the school day, we would like to be able to invite the students and their friends to a free concert with the band the evening after the assembly! That way we could share more openly with them about our faith.
Some of the topics we talk on (not limited to) are:
- Mental Health
- Bullying
- Making a bright future for yourself
- Drug and Alcohol
- Relationships
What is The Runaway Project?
Mission Statement
The Runaway Project's mission is to encourage and revive the youth through raw stories of hardship so that they may discover genuine hope.
Why “The Runaway Project”?
We are called The Runaway Project because we believe that everyone has something to run away from. Not out of weakness, but out of strength. Strength to say “I’m not going to let this define or hold me back from who I could be”. We are all runaways, but it’s different for each one of us. We just gotta figure out what we are running away from.
